This week I have been working on a reality show (deets cannot be revealed at this time), however I can share a product discovery – Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes. Who knew that these double-sided wipes could be just the ticket to exfoliate the puckers? Now, normally when faced with a dry, flaky lip (my own included), I whack on a bit of Lucas’ Pawpaw Ointment and hope for the best. But when one is horribly dehydrated, this really is just a Band-Aid solution. These nifty little Simple wipes, gently rubbed over the mouthpiece, remove said crusty layers, and voila – your lipstick now sits beautifully on smooth puckers. Available at Priceline.
Another fantastic proddy I’ve discovered in my travels: NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Dry which is French for bloody amazing multi-purpose dry oil. This stuff is the goods for a silken, sheeny body but without the perilous oily aftermath. Subtly fragrant, this oil can also be used on the hair and face (I’m thinking – pressed over a tired foundation with the hands). Packaged in a luxurious glass bottle, spray on the skin for a sensual feel that becomes miraculously TOUCH DRY! This magical product is available at any good pharmacy in Paris, or, more conveniently Priceline.
Next on the list, was the discovery of a new colour in the fabby MAC Mineralized Skinfinish range – Medium Golden. Mineralized Skinfinish is quite the lovely finishing powder, leaving more of a velvet finish and has a wee bit more coverage for those who just want more flawlessness to the visage. And the golden hues are really quite the parfait colour for most olive skinned types. Available at all M.A.C counters and stores.
While it’s not actually a discovery, to start the weekend fresh faced and sans outer layer of reptile skin, I hopped, skipped and jumped to the lovely Kaye at The Clinic Bondi Junction. I always love my stopovers there as I depart looking way fresher than I deserve. For the second time round, I the had the fabulous Cosmedix Blueberry Peel which consists of gentle acid, and blueberry extracts that rid the face of the pesky dead skin outer layer, and restores that old youthful glow. It’s non-invasive and a lovely way to revitalize a tired face at the end of a week (or the beginning or the middle).
Of course, it would be remiss of me not to share with you the lip-gloss I’ve been sporting all week (and wore in my last tutorial). The very wearable – NARS Risky business is certainly a great colour to whack on the puckers this weekend, day or night. In a fetching shimmery shade of deep rose – it gives your lips a lovely luscious finish and makes them appear quite kissable. Mwaaah!
Available at MECCA and MECCA Maxima
Have a great weekend Glams!
