This Week’s Red Carpet Moments

Posted on by

Naomi Watts certainly nails it each time she steps foot on that Red Carpet.
Wearing a body contoured white Versace gown teamed with black Louboutins, black Edie Parker clutch and divine Chopard statement earrings – she proved to be a veteran Glamazon.

Her make-up was quite fresh which she carried beautifully. However, I would have preferred more of a polished make-up. Just saying; especially with the unstructured hair (Naomi, call me).  But still, wow!

Another Red Carpet moment that has just happened:  the Venice premiere of French film La Jalousie (Jealousy).  I eyeballed French actress Anna Mougalis in this ethereal, ivory lace creation and went quite weak at the knees. LOVE THIS DRESS! So Stevie Nicks goes to Picnic at Hanging Rock. Unfortunately, try as I might, I cannot find the details of the designer (dammit, I was so going to order one 5 sizes larger and have it put on the private jet so I could wear it to lunch on Sunday).  Again, I do have a bone to pick and that is the quilted black leather clutch (probably Channel). What was she thinking? Yes I know Naomi is wearing white and I didn’t say anything about her black clutch (hello because it worked).  But seriously, a delicate, romantic gown such as this deserves a divine, dainty metallic or beaded clutch. Is it so much to ask? But let’s not get all Debbie-downer on the fact that I LOVE THIS DRESS!

Now even though this was so 3 days ago, it would be remiss of me not to feature, young, plump-bosomed, ripe as a juicy berry, Scarlett Johansson on the RC at the Venice premiere of Under the Skin. Exquisite in a black Versace gown that draped beautifully over her every curve, bejewelled with a Bulgari necklace of cascading coloured diamonds that I would simply kill for (so not joking).  Her make-up was bronzed and glamorous teamed with a simple up-do. In a nutshell: breathtaking.

Well, Glams, I wish you your own “type” of Red Carpet moment this weekend.

Have a good one!
