Here are some new products that really did change my world.
Ilamasqua Cream Pigment in Emerge
Glams, you may have cottoned onto the fact that I love a little cream product that you can just plonk on with your fingers. So, clearly this little apricot coloured square of dense pigmented cream got my attention right from the word go. But how to use said creamy apricot square of goodness?
Well, I decided to place it as a non-shimmery highlighter on the top of Belinda Russell’s cheek-bed before she did the 5pm news on Saturday, and it worked a treat. This gave her cheek, which was already tainted with Bobbi Brown Fresh Melon Pot Rouge (still loving this blush) more dimension and a highlight in a natural way. I found it also colour corrects – so if like me you also have a smidge of pigmentation on the cheeks, it will soften the appearance with its apricot coloured matte ways. You can also use it as a base on the eyes as it does hold eye-shadow. What can’t this little wonder product do?
The Makeup Studio Eye-Shadow duo in Ruby Red & Pearl Plum
I love the colour burgundy. It’s return from the 90s as an en trend colour of recent years, really did make me feel…at home. And it is certainly a stunning feature colour around the peepholes. (Especially divine on green eyes – the purple undertones of burgundy really bring out green to full brilliance). So, having being introduced to The Make-up Studio, I thought I would get a couple of burgundies under the belt and chose these delicious colours in a duo. I applied these highly pigmented shimmer powder eye-shadows with a synthetic brush pressed around the eye-hole. And with a little M.A.C Sketch eyeshadow (a matte, deeper shade of wine) around the lash-line for extra definition. Voila, Natalia Cooper LOVED her burgundy smokey eye. And really, who wouldn’t?
Make-Up Store Metallic Eyeliner in Deep Blue Sea
Well, this was quite the staple last week. It seemed everyone wanted a piece of the #navyblueeyeliner sensation. Some, even coordinating their outfit accordingly (Georgie Gardner I’m talking to you). What I am loving about this particular eyeliner, is its perfect metallic blue qualities. Metallic eyeliner (except if it’s white) is ALWAYS flattering around the peepholes. That glint of shine just makes eyes appear more alluring-like. And in the perfect shade of navy...how could one resist? Tip: Always contour eyes in matte warm browns or taupes even when going blue. This will ensure that the blue eyeliner will always be the hero product it so rightly deserves.
