If there is one observation I have made whilst in Barca, is that you are no one without a Wedge. Every woman and girl is sporting the Wedge in all manner of styles but usually paired with cut-off denim shorts and a floral tunic. Love that look, don’t you? Wedges have always been hit and miss for me, but this trip has me inspired to strap ‘em on for the Australian summer.
Barcelona has such a delicious bohemian feel in
both makeup and fashion. The girls are donning the carefree
look of glowing skin and bronzed glossy cheeks – natural and gorgeous. So, being an avid lover of fuschia blush, I was forced to tone it down for fear of the wrong attention. I won’t pretend – it’s been a hard habit to break.
Now as for my tresses – it is as humid as all get-out over here, and it’s wreaking havoc with my natural curls. On a particularly steamy afternoon, I popped into El Corte Englais for some airconditioning and a chance to regroup. A stunning sales assistant (all the women here are so hot) showed me the way to the Kheil’s counter which is where I discovered Kheil’s Strong Hold Hair Gel. Hair Gel? “Hello, isn’t that a bit 90s?” I hear you ask. Well, I rubbed a little between the palms and ran it through my wreck of a hairstyle – quite miraculously – it totally tamed and humidity-proofed my “do”. Fancy that. Hair gel of all things…
I’ll most certainly be getting my hands on some of that for those sizzling Sydney evenings.
But for now, Glammie friends, it seems to be that time again – time to apply more Aloe Vera to my sun-kissed body.
Hasta la vista! x
